Iris Brown Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Iris Brown

Rating: 2.6

Such a gleaming;
crystal tumbling;
silhouetted in his
brown tearful eye;
cascading through
emotional light
where his iris there resides.

My heart stops
sensing joy
in that Silver Tear
'Yes I love you'
springs forth from my Deep Well
to my own voice adhered.
He now blinks
his swollen eye
and that tear
falls, falls
to Joys' Plateau.

His head is now bowed
kissing metaphorically
the Ground of Happiness
Sincere Love allows.
My son,
Revived.
