Invocation Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Invocation

For invigoration
Intuitional grace
The skillful might
Of pen-
For maturity
Of thoughts
To entwine coherently
Interlink unbiased
Form of verse
For unique and
Brilliant envoy
Invoke in deep
Contemplation
In the temple
With a soul full
Of hope and
Aspirations
To rise as a poet
Bow to
Omniscience
Of Heaven
Where from invigilates
The Invis`d ‘Sarswati'
The goddess
Of knowledge
Rules over
The universe
Of knowledge
Riding the peacock
With an Omni-book
The source of
Entire knowledge
With symbols of
Lotus and rosary
Soothing musical harp
In one hand
Soft and kind
Her blessing hands
Whet gods
And goddesses around
With appetite and thirst
Meditate in servitude
Thus, inspired so
I too set to work.
