Invisible Strings Poem by ellery lim

Invisible Strings

Tangled lives
Tangled webs
Different lives
Many wept
Many smiled
The impact dealt
To the affected
And the indebted
Every action would cause a reaction
Every movement
Resentment
Mans short to anger span
Leads to the death of man
And mans ego, pride
Reveals his evil side
Nature is linked to the beginning and the end
Nature is linked to the gods and to all man
An action today can cause an improvement tomorrow
But yet again, it could cost this broken world, with sorrow
Play at the strings
The different bells ring
Nature will sing
Everything linked
What will you bring?
At the end, at the brink
Of death, the reaper grim
To you he will ‘wink’
Burn the string
The end is near
Our hearts on fire
Burn, burn
Bright immense light
Kill, destroy
Apocalypse boil
Erupt with fire
A burning desire
Melt ‘this invisible strings’
And perish at the seams
