Into The Valley

Into the valley I stroll in the sun.
On my skin I feel the warmth of the sun.
Breathing in the clean fresh air my mind feels so clear.
I run through the past present and coming future in my mind.
Many mixed emotions of what was and is and yet to come.
31 years here on this wondrous earth,
a mixed bag of adventures and emotions but I'd not trade them at all.

Into the valley I stand in the flowing grass and beautiful flowers.
It brightens my soul taking in all this divine landscape that brings clarity of the beautiful soul of the earth.
I shiver in the essence of cleansing aromas and sounds of innocent nature.
It cuts through the darkness and fills me with some semblance of hope.

Into the valley I wander to reflect and ponder all the things in my mind.
Which ways should I go?
Just what will I find?
There's a feeling of trepidation and fear,
but the clarity and beauty of the valley gives my spirit a bold confident boost.
I crouch to smell the flowers and remember the beauty of you.

Into the valley just to think through all the many things of my 31 years.
What I've done right,
what I've done wrong,
the few decisions I would change,
but overall the journey has been so wild and strange.
I admit I've not always given everything my all,
but I've never given up or quit on a thing.

So into the valley I sit in the grass and take it all in.
Still not sure of where I'm going or how I'll get there.
I know I'll need help at points along the way,
but must stand tall and be tough to fight what I can on my own.
Because I know that quite often I must count on myself and it's time for me to grow.
I have to pay recompense for all my sorrowful wrongs.

So into the valley to admire the pristine beauty surrounds.
Then move onto the great big road to the future that's on the other end.
Many new experiences and in my life a few new friends,
I still pray to God some old true friends in my future will attend.
To share in my glories and give support in my sorrows.
for me to return the favors in double from my gratitude's savor.
We'll see just what happens as we face this endeavor.

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
