Into Liverpool Poem by Stephen Brian Brady

Into Liverpool

from Formby beach

the ship on the horizon
sails onto the palm of my hand

on the bridge
they feel it tilt slightly
as I reach out
so far as the marker-buoys
and into the river-channel
at the Mersey-Bar.

in this greyist season
acting without reason is....
just ask Gormley's Iron Men
