Internally Poem by Amanda Deupree

Internally

I'll never be what they are
I'll never be a shining star
I burn to dim for you to see
My fire rages internally

I'm not that pretty I have no grace
My smile is forced upon my face
I'm never what you want from me
My fire rages internally

I'm not a silly beauty queen
I'm not the girl out on the scene
You never really wanted me
My fire rages internally

I'll never be as pretty as her
I'm not the girl decked out in fur
You just won't set me free
My fire rages internally

I am amazing if you dig deep
I am smart. I'm the one to keep
It's really funny
You'll never see

My fire rages internally
