Something happened yesterday
I saw a girl I was close to once
I smiled a genuine smile and offered her a hug
But her reply was tame and her smile was not
the same
Her eyes glazed with a gaze that suggested I'd
Overstayed and that was when I walked away
And that was when I realised
Perhaps
I value others more than they
Value me
