In sight
your eyes say
I have to leave you
because I need to stay.
I am blind,
love is, they tell me.
The two people inside me
have agreed,
fought bitter battles,
near to the death fights...
bit I won through.
After careful preparation
decide to stay,
live on to fight
another day
with an image of your eyes
saying go away,
insoluble.

‘Self Contradiction’ ‘Self Dilemma’ 'Self Dichotomy’ 'Self Indecession' ~ type poetry … Finally gave in, ‘saying go away, /insoluble.’…accepted jolt of jilt from a ‘no’ person…enjoyed tragedy …thanks for sharing Hon’ble Poet Sally Regards Ms. Nivedita UK 10/10

I don’t understand some of your remarks, Niv. Shall have to refer to the dictionary. Thanks.

The eyes are the window of the soul! Short but powerful. Well done!

Glad I can finally leave my comment on this one. You have really exceeded all quotas, real and imagined, with this. It's a deep, memorable piece of writing, and timeless.

This is a powerful, if quiet poem. First time I read it, I couldn't comment on it, it mixed my emotions so much. It's one I will come back to. N
