Inpromptu Ending Poem by Alexzia Ferdinand

Inpromptu Ending

and so you ignited
a match then fanned it into a flame
consuming yet lovely
you helped me discover
new paths, my soul burned
you began
a beginning
within me.
but a beginning is most usually followed by a
middle and an end, at least in my book.
not so
with this story.
if i'd known i would be left
unraveling storylines
and crying over the little fire,
would i have begun this bitter love then?
hopefully someone will catch me at the bottom
of this cliffhanger
