Innocents Shed Lives Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Innocents Shed Lives

Rating: 5.0

'The days of divine rights of kings' have gone
Their monopoly to rule also has been undone
Lot many countries have adopted world charter
Where equal rights for all have proved as good starter

Weak political system has given the room for dictators to rise
The whole system has been pushed aside and resulted in breach of promises
Promises given to people of the land to rule as per their wishes
Alas! That has remained distant dream and all hopes remain dashed

Entire globe is divided into two systems
Yet it does not suit to their design and ill will stem
Dictators seize powers and pirates rule the sea
Very pathetic condition all over world to see

How many innocents shed lives per day?
How many soldiers loose their precious lives on the way?
Their vehicles are blasted and road is blocked
In friction of seconds many lives are smoked

Terrorists strike at their will and keep humans as shield
They have sway over limited land yet find open field
Not all efforts are paying any dividend for world peace
Life is very difficult for poor people to live at ease

There may be many people like me feeling helpless
Yet we cry over liberty and bring smile on face
Many activists rot in jails for no fault or crime
What next should be our goal or aim as prime?

Let there be system if any country chooses?
World should not bother as no threat it poses
Let there be no violation of human rights
Rest all can be avoided to fuel the fight

If need be lawlessness can be curbed with heavy hand
This beautiful world belongs to all and must prove as heavenly land
It is not the role of any class or country
We are here as special missionary of the almighty

Let doves fly all over globe with message
Small branch in mouth to speak nothing
Let world witness real message behind
Search the soul earnestly and find

SoldierBlue Blue The feats of arms...the fetes of kings....are any of us in faulted flesh able to reach beyond the curbs of our lives? ...Some possibly...and perhaps they are divine...a good work...SoldierBlue 37 minutes ago · Like
