What if nothing goes okay
And even when you look fine today
Everyone looks the other way
Things have never looked this grey

What if you're still grieving
Just trying to find
Some piece of mind
But nothing's gonna be the same

Lost in time
For the sake of a smile
Lost your soul
So long ago

What if you're trying to smile
But deep down you're screaming
Deep down there's hurt inside
Deep down no words can hide

What if no one even cares
And you're trying to find a place
Nobody can save you now
If you leave before your soul is found

Remeber when scraped knees were the only thing that hurt
And we only cried because we laughed to hard
We never knew that some things
Could cut straight to our hearts

Remember when goodbyes were only until tomorrow
We could wait another day
He may be in a better place now
But he made it hard for us to stay

What if we just want someone to listen
And not say a word
What if we want questions answered
But they just go unheard

What if we're so sad
That we drift apart
When you go to that better place
It will cut straight to my heart
