Infatuation: A Past Present Poem by Captain Hook

Infatuation: A Past Present

I'll hide in these shadows i have no charm
I just meant to warn you of his third degree flame
I meant your emotions no harm
Instead you went a third time at his game

Well my friend
You are my friend?
It all comes down-to-earth
Heres some well known information
They ran us for all we were worth
Together we have walked
walked the fine line of love and infatuation

Infatuation is not love
Love is a perfect stranger
Love leads a heart down a path a danger
Infatuation is a past present from above

Well you gave me my warning too
It's a little late a little past due
We shared a lot in that class together
I shared my confession
It left no strong impression

You cant fix a broken heart with a bouquet
Should i blame myself for causing your dismay?
I'm glad we are still friends forever
We know were not hypocrits we are just very clever

Well my friend
You are my friend?
It all comes down-to-earth
Heres some well known information
They ran us for all we were worth
Together we have walked
walked the fine line of love and infatuation

Infatuation is not love
Love is a perfect stranger
Love leads a heart down a path a danger
Infatuation is a past present from above

I'm sorry for feeling
Feeling the way i did
Anything called love we have forbid
Would you have taken it back
If you had known
Either way youd still be alone
You wouldnt budge past just friends
And I'll admit im happy thats how the story ends
