In the morning
When I open my eyes
Comb my hair
And let out a sigh
Nothing seems to ratify
My mind

Broken systems
On everyday
Got me crying
In the rain
Can you feel my pain?
This is my bane

But my conscience said
To go about the rest of my day
And keep on living
No matter what anyone may say
Cuz even though I lost you
In the middle of the fray
I'm only one step closer
To holding you in the rain

Standing still
Waiting for you
Got nothing else on my mind
Got nothing else to do
If that lightning strikes me
So help me God I'll live
As long as you find it in you
To forget and forgive
