Independence Poem by madison ann

Independence

They call it independence because it is free
but if you want that than dont think of me

my minds not free or my soul or heart
my hearts not free and its not torn apart

my minds never free from constant thoughts
my heart isnt right it sits and rots

souls been banished to ever regain
the only thing i know how to do is sit and feelthe pain

my heart has holes from another place
my souls not near its in an empty space

its called independence because its free
but if thats what you want then dont become me
