Inconvenient Novelty Poem by Aria Siren

Inconvenient Novelty

long forgotten by passerby
she rocks with screams
trembling under rains decent

another faceless blur
in the city painted abstract
an inconvenient novelty
a ghostly shadow

choking on pity
strangled by contempt
nursing fate

she waits...

for the one that will never come
for the dream that has unfurled
for the timer to run out

for her death to be as uneventful as her life

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A challenge from a friend. Writing without rhyming is very difficult for me.

You said this was very difficult to compose, I think it is very brilliant for the reader. Nice job. You captured the emotion well. Fav. lines: choking on pity. strangled by contempt. nursing fate. This is simple but powerful.
