POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Some people just don't know when to quit. I believe they're suffering from desperate loneliness.

Richard, there's some profound social philosophy here. I've noticed that the lonelier people are, the more they engage their vocal chords. I've rarely known them to want conversation, which is odd, but they seem fixated on monologue....a great, insightful work, Richard.

You're absolutely right, M.J. This poem is based on a female acquaintance who won't let anyone get a word in. And if by some luck they manage, she abruptly cuts them off. Very frustrating!
