Incas Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Incas

Incas

How can one speak, ‘Concretely'?
(In a shrine built on the older one)

How can one talk ‘Concretely'?
Relying on such books; libraries

How can one trust these comments?
If the enemy has written of enemy
Or unaware of the forced detainee

Churches are
Doubtlessly
Unique, Great!

But

The Churches in occupied lands
Home to absent Jesus, never in
‘A rebel'
Were right from start
Built on top of shrines
Palaces and the castles

They too
Most possibly
Were sure empty
Of the humane souls
No respect for humanity

How could Catholics, Christian Jesuits
Totally unlike their Jesus Christ-father
When talking of aboriginals be trusted

Did they ever think themselves equals?

The Incas; great brutal; stays in dark
They can't ever be known via church
Sample is boarding-school in Canada
