In Your Eyes Poem by Tshering Chekii

In Your Eyes

A mask of arrogance you wear,
With the ‘Don't mess with me.'
Expression written all over,
Questioning every nobleness,
Answering with the rudeness
To conceal the wound deep inside.
Otherwise you have acted well
But your eyes like a mirror, revealed all.
The dampness you have wiped,
The prevailing hurt in your eyes,
The trust you have lost,
The reason of your missing smile
I have seen them all
Because in your eyes,
I can see my story unfolding.
