In You Still Poem by Rouge Groer

In You Still

You've touched me and captured me
Your Person has drawn me
You hold me in your own right hand
And even carry me through when life sails bad

Yet my heart was bitter
I have turned away from you
I returned to the world and sought for pleasure
I drunk of a fountain that I may be satisfied
Yet I keep on thirsting
I keep on wanting for more
The world has nothing to offer but its temporary things

Oh, recover my heart my love
Draw me closer again to you
Let any distance be effaced
Let my whole being be yours alone

Now I have found a fountain gushing up in me
Oh Lord you are my real joy and satisfaction.
