In Times Of Trouble Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

In Times Of Trouble

turning to others
in times of trouble
was a gift I denied
myself as many
broken hearted
do when young
broken in sorrow
it took a long time

to share troubled times
to reach our in trust hope
some draw within stand
alone like an untouchable
rock resolute robust strong
determined seemingly happy

invincible while within
passion storms rage
as we search for peace
search for any hope
solutions even reach out
to God with last straws
God draws near listens
in time approaches

dwells within us
in our mind soul
eventually
after decades
passing
we see through

God's eyes
God's will
comforting smiling
as God does
our light is God's
light we live love
give in sunshine
as God smiles

when storms come
God is our rock
God is our hope
shelter we have become
God's child to the core
of our brief changed being
