Greed is Like a hunting trap It allures, attracts And ruins at last. Very wise thoughts illustrated with an apt comparison, Amitava! A greedy man can never be at peace with himself! Excessive greed has resulted in the fall of great empires and powerful men! This is what history teaches and we learn in everyday life!

I really like the theme of this poem and the direction it takes the reader. Though I get what you are saying I would say knowledge without understanding is dangerous. To accumulate so much knowledge yet not understand what it means or what to do with it can become a burden as well. But then you say guides the soul towards wisdom and peace so I think you definetely have the right idea. The poem speaks a very powerful and positive message. Just to add to what you've already said I like it in this order. Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom and the fruits of the spirit come into manifestation with these things. Be it peace and love. Knowledge gives you the info you need on any subject, understanding helps you to work through all of that knowledge acquired and wisdom/prudence helps show how/where/why/when to apply the knowledge that you've accumulated to any situation that might arise. It is a great poem! I just wanted to expound on the idea a little further.
