In The Old Wilderness Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

In The Old Wilderness

In the old wilderness
hidden from the dust of country roads and lanes
hidden from the tracing of the moon
hidden, hidden in night's curtain

still
partly hidden when the Dawn is risen

when
the sea-waves knock at the doors of
the white cliffs in chameleon mazes hidden.
