In The Name Of Freedom Poem by Amala Comer

In The Name Of Freedom

Silent letters to China's core
don't really open any door.
What else is there
for us to lose
a ticking bomb
we light the fuse.

Body separates from mind, hoping
with hands in prayer, to find
our freedom.
Leave this world that doesn't care
Our burning bodies with you we share.
