In The Mirror Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

In The Mirror

In the mirror,
Can you identify the change?
Look in the mirror.
Look in the mirror.
Look in the mirror,
See once bright eyes dimmed..
Look in the mirror.
Look in the mirror.
In the mirror,
Can you see youth fading away?
Or has it gone,
To stay...
That way!
And, forever.

In the mirror,
Can you identify the change?
Look in the mirror,
See once bright eyes dimmed.
Look in the mirror.
Can you see youth fading away?
Or has it gone,
To stay...
That way!
And, forever.

Can you see youth fading away?
Or has it gone,
To stay...
That way!
And, forever.

In the mirror,
Can you identify the change?
Look in the mirror,
See once bright eyes dimmed.
Look in the mirror,
Do you recognize at all...
Who you thought was there,
When declared and defying...
Aging could be hidden and denied.

In the mirror,
Do you recognize at all...
When declared and defying...
Aging could be hidden and denied.
