In The Midst Of Diversity Poem by Obed dela Cruz

In The Midst Of Diversity

Rating: 5.0

Unique in a way all humans are,
Some can’t accept it that’s why they war.
We are the people who are diverse.
We are called in diverse sectors.

People have different talents and interest.
Let us face and accept this fact; these wars let it now cease.
All of us in this planet have dissimilar stories.
Let us turn our uniqueness to full potentialities.

Misunderstanding is a consequence of poor communication.
Be fair, think of other’s welfare, tell the truth to have transformation.
Let’s understand each other and be united.
When we are one, innocent lives will be spared.

My fellow men, we are human beings,
That has rationality and feelings.
May all of us avoid bad happenings.
Lead for change and restore the broken wings.

Together as one, let’s rebuild this world,
Because the world we see is dark and old.
Let us light a light and now go to work.
Be the resolution, in vain don’t lurk.

Don’t be contented with what you are: Find ways to improve.
Discipline, correction, and wisdom, these you must have with love.
Be tough for a glorious destiny: Be peaceful like a dove.
Honor your father and mother so that good long life you’ll have.

Possess the gates of your day.
Let your words never cause pain.
Loving sin, let it be nay.
Live a life not being vain.

Let diversities compliment to have a better world.
Though we are diverse human beings, still we can agree.
Through understanding, forgiveness, and a will to accept each other,
In the midst of diversity, we can be one.

Very idealistic. In reality there are issues like racism, arrogance, prejudice, and sheer vulgarity - some writers engage in these and when you encounter them, you need to read this poem again, Stay strong and keep writing the truth.

Obed, I see what you mean now of the striking similarities of these poems. Must say I do enjoy your description more than my own work. I had happen to write this some many months ago also, but had not until now typed it, but I must say you do captivate much more emotion and imagery in your work, very wonderful indeed.10

'Unity in diversity'' is the order of the day. United we stand, divided we fall is another way of telling about the unity. What all you say in this poem should be written in golden letters, which should open the eyes and ears of the present day troubled world.

People all have different ways, but yet, are all the same around the world. We all come from the family of NOAH,8 persons, to around 9 billion.
