In The Land Of Genius Steinman Is King

Rating: 4.0

Listen to him now
What do you hear
And what will you do

When you find out
Anything is possible
Anything at all
Oh yes you will come to understand
Shouting out to the crowd
Gathered around their radios tonight

Their lives once truely meaningless
Now because of him
They will be blessed
With all that he has
Out of the pockets of his own soul he gives
The very best of who he is and more

He is the plug
And you are all his sockets
Give him the chance
Give him the juice
To inspire and create
Deep inside of you tonight

And you'll grow
Can't you hear the music, sweet music now?
Listen to the chosen one sing
Can't you hear the bells of that bat of out hell ringing
In the land of genius, Steinman is the king

How he will touch you
How he will move you
Some things like this are still as yet unknown
Critic's words of warning you must not heed
Their lies are so tawdry
Trashing our cd collection choices

What do you expect
They don't care for nor have our standards
So they try to push us
Into their cookie cookie copycat assembly line
Cos they think they know what's perfect for us
Trying to hard to keep shut Pandora's box

They throw away the keys and reinforce the locks
Trying to make us the victims
They play act the parts of our overprotective mothers
Come gather around your radios now so you can shout out along with our hero
Telling them where they can all get off
There's no time like now

Can't you hear the music, sweet music now
Listen to the chosen one sing
Can't you hear the bells of that bat out of hell ringing
In the land of genius, Steinman is king
Can't you hear that radio jamming now
Listen to that monster breaking loose

Can't you hear those rock 'n roll wheels a spinning and a turning
In the land of genuis, Steinman is king
And we like it cos he does it his way
We love to hear him play
You know what we'll say

If you try to take him away
Don't you dare try to take him away
Not today
Can't you hear the music, sweet music now?
Listen to the chosen one sing
Can't you hear the bells of that bat of out hell ringing
In the land of genius, Steinman is the king

Can't you hear the music, sweet music now
Listen to the chosen one sing
Can't you hear the bells of that bat out of hell ringing
In the land of genius, Steinman is king
Can't you hear that radio jamming now
Listen to that monster breaking loose
Can't you hear those rock 'n roll wheels a spinning and a turning
In the land of genuis, Steinman is king
