In The Land Of First Impressions Poem by goldtooth grin

In The Land Of First Impressions

in the land of first impressions I wouldn't stand much chance,
for the DNA I inherited is oh so moderate
moderately intelligent,
I am traveled moderately well,
I can moderately well
play several instruments
I write moderately interesting poems
have a moderate amount of facebook friends
I'm of moderate height
and moderate heart rate

so in the land of first impressions
I would vanquish with the lepers
no one would wish me around their wells
in the land of first impressions
I would prey the kids haven't
learnt how to throw heavy stones well

well then blessed be the place
where I'm currently living
free from obsessions of those who
watch the clocks all the time

blessed be the place
where I'm quietly living
moderately well
moderately fine
