In The Closet Poem by Damian Leonard

In The Closet

It's not so much a closet as it is a prison
A cell where your mind takes over
It tells you you're wrong
That no one will like you
No one will accept you
It's a disease that you're forcing upon everyone
Everyone you love
That won't ever love you back
So you stay in your prison
You stay there to protect yourself from life
A life you'll never have
Because you're locked in a closet
