Through Hospital corridors do roll
Beds and Chairs with Patients in,
From Ward to X-ray they do go
As well as to other Stations too.
I praise these Hospital Porters who
Manage their task with such aplomb,
Never bumping those inside
Whilst taking them on their Ride.
For they do have a difficult task
Leading beds on Lifts galore,
Taking their charges smoothly on,
To Treatment Rooms on different floors.
When corridors are full of folk
Going to Clinics and other Wards,
These skilful men perform their task
Keeping their Charges safe ~ reposed.
I’ve seen these men do different roles,
For some are part of the Security Team,
Called to assist with patients ~ whose
Illnesses make them act extreme.
