In Need Of Your Strength Today Sweet One - Poem by Michael P. McParland

I'm in need so very much of your strength
today my sweet precious one so please
come hold my hand in spirit and hold me tight
my sweet darling Angel of true loving light.
I have to go in for oral surgery in less than two hours
and am not so much nervous in some ways
and others I feel so very nervous my precious dear.
So as I take your hand in mine
please squeeze it back so lovingly firm,
I need you dear you are my only one and I know
your loving strength will help me through.

I love you sweet one and don't know how long
the surgery will take and how long before
I get back home here,
I promise dear though I will write you
as soon as I am able to let you know just how I am,
I'll be with still in spirit dear as
I always am to hold you close and give you
all of my undying endless warmth and love,
I'll be holding your hand as you hold mine
because I truly love you more than anything.

So please my dear just wrap me in your arms
and hold so tight with all your strength and love.
I need you dear because you are my rock,
my best friend and only love.
God bless you babe because I know
you're always there and here for me
and I thank you deeply my sweet Queen.
So feel all my love and know you will be my dreams
of comforting love and warmth as they work on me.
I love you so very much and never forget
I'll forever be right by your side.
You are my Angel I adore so much
and that's why I ask you for the loving strength.
