In My Own Wilderness Poem by Gary James Smith

In My Own Wilderness

Rating: 5.0

IN MY OWN WILDERNESS

I've walked in my own wilderness
It seemed like forty years
When sin begins to taunt my soul
It brings along its fears

But God has brought Deliverance
Time and time again
And rescued me from my own self
How I bless that Friend

Life has placed a balance
By which we're weighed each day
Do we walk in light or darkness
Do God or satan have their way?

We have power of our choices
God has given us a will
If we stay close and commune with Him
We'll walk in fellowship still

Our promised land is within us
Sealed by the Holy Spirit
Heaven Himself living in my soul
Come now and draw near it.
