The moonlight crept through
my window last night
and danced across the mirror,
making star bursts on the floor
as it played a game
of hide and seek with the clouds above

Softly sighs the evening breeze
to stir the curtains
Its shadows circle and sway
Mixed with the star burst
it creates the illusion
of a grand ballroom

Wish you were in my arms
Softly caressing, beholding me
Misty eyed, breathing
The evening breeze, the moonlight
An illusion, never again a game
To remember in my dream
