I heard the news of your demise,
it came to me as grave surprise,
of what I can not quite surmise,
your life and mine I did reprise.

I pledged you all I could spare.
to prove depth of my love and care,
you thought it was an empty dare
and thought it apt the word beware.

So with new one you went to share
Your love only with ease aware
until fate did to you declare
caught you were in net and snare.

I can not but wish well you fare,
deep in my heart I will prepare,
a niche for you that is so rare
that time can not ever lay bare.
