In Lust Poem by Kelvin Owusu

In Lust

Rating: 5.0

Love never found us
Lust forever burned as our eternal flame
Our heat never became one
But our bodies had other plans

Like a moth to the flame
Soon to burn
What is lust if not love?
A moth without wings

Could we let go of our lustful urges
Even for a moment so our hearts may sing
Or are we forever stricken
To be not as nature intended
Like a moth without wings, incomplete

Love never found us
Lust forever burned as our eternal flame
Our hearts never became one
So never could we share the same name

Again, I have to agree with Thomas. I feel the desire to be complete, the urge to feel at home or rather just the overwhelming wish to belong to someone. Very nice.
