In Every Birth Poem by SRIRANJI ARATISANKAR

In Every Birth

In every birth you trample me
In every birth treated me contemptuously
In every birth squandered me away
In every birth tying a rope
With my nose ring put me off as you liked
I said nothing
I did not mind
I thought it was natural law
In another birth of life I shall be born
Not as hay, fallen dried leaves or flower
I shall be piercing thorn.
