In England Poem by Justin Gildow

In England

In England
France and England are trying to make a stand
To many that walk here in England
Life is calm
To many that walk here in England
Life is wild

In England
The Sirens and the Sots are singing and putting forth their emotions
Whilst winning over the audience's attention

In England
Regulars and the newest souls will eventually meet
The horns acknowledging the Queen's presence aren't that far away

In England
I'm decked out in costume
And I resume my duties to myself and all of England as a knight
As I make my way through the day
And into the night

In England
As night falls
Peace has been reached by France and England
Or for at least our intentions

Peace has finally come
In England

I like this very much Justin. It has a good and original approach. The setting out of the stanzas provide it with a good flow. There is something ambiguous about the piece. This isn't an 'I visted a foreign country and this is what I saw' poem. It has a much more universal approach and, to be honest, I don't understand it. But that is not a bad thing. Why should I feel the need to look for a message? It is not important. What is, is that this is a very exception piece of writing. Thanks for posting.
