In Dreams I Am Poem by Smoky Hoss

In Dreams I Am

Rating: 5.0

Everyone's has dreams, of
where to go, who to be;
I too wonder,
when I dream,
late into the night,
where do I go, what do I see.

I alone
am the
Dream.
The hazy appearance
upon the far, far
Horizon.
The words awaiting
a blank page,
a pure prayer
yet unspoken.
The dream
of dragonfly wings
swept by and into the eternal
Everywhere;
Dreams as gifts, like
wild, prickly cactus,
sweet maple and mighty redwood trees,
dreams like bristlecone pines,
ancient and inexplicably alive,
raging rapids,
and mysterious canyons deep,
in the narrows and the wide open sky,
in the sources of the springs down under,
and the mountain tops way up high,
through the speed of light
and the slowness of dark,
I, in all of this and
much more than tongues can tell,
alone
am the
Dream, dreamer and dreamt of.

Where is the world
in my dream? Oh better still,
Where is my dream
in the world?

What can it mean, these dreams to fly to higher heights, to see the world while asleep at night. A vacation long overdue? Loved the imagery Smoky.

Nothing like dreaming. Thanks for the notes too. Such a beautiful flow of words, felt like I was floating.

Who would have thought that a dude named, Hoss, could write so beautifully and be so profound?
