In Countries Far & Near Poem by Michael P. Johnson

In Countries Far & Near

Sinister, night grows darker now
Many have nowhere to hide
The antichrist will seek to bow
Who hope life's Wind to ride

Through assurance God Himself gave
Raising up high His hand
Who death may see, yet not the grave
Will dwell The Promised Land

To all who Jesus Christ believe
Who'll seek Salvation's grace
Who through faith, life's crown receive
Will live, to see God's face

Hoping where unapproachable Light
Raises praises to sing
Kneeling, bowing, enrobed in white
In presence of life's King

Jesus, Jesus enthroned on high
Beyond death's pain below
Where plagued with doubt, souls condemned die
Failing 'Who Saves' to know

The selfless One, the humble One
Who washed His servant's feet
The same, through whom life's crown is won
When time on earth's complete

This is Salvation, man calling
Creation's divine Lord
To save one's soul from falling
To feel hell's cruellest sword

Worse than devils hunting pole to pole
Causing chaos and fear
Cutting throats of God's servant's soul
In countries far and near.....
