In Carbon Radiance Poem by Kewayne Wadley

In Carbon Radiance

Tonight I want to take my love high above the clouds,
Without ladders, or man made Ships borrowed from NASA.
Tonight I want to see how her eyes twinkle amongst the stars,
And show the world just what she means.
Without car keys with the fancy clicker, no busy intersections.
The hassle of dealing with the volume of the Radio.
Or what to listen to.
The touch of her lips will lead the way,
The beat of her heart would keep us afloat.
The constellations would smile and grin as they became the creaks in the bed we'd lay upon.
Covered by a blanket of stars.
Tonight I want to take my love above the clouds,
To a place seen only through telescopes.
As Jupiter sends its kiss towards Venus' cheek,
Bright lit stars that spark a fire felt in depth.
Without a worry of time or the bussel of a busy work schedule.
Tonight I want to take my love
Into a smiling caress and pretend that we're four years old.
As we marvel into the stars
As most objects are as close as they appear,
