In Awe Of The Pink Moon Poem by Junepaulette GasrelTibbetts

In Awe Of The Pink Moon

My heart always wondered,
If there was a memory
That was engraved
In anyone's heart,

That spoke of me...

That looked pass
All the wrongs....
And saw a beauty contained from youth....

That maybe somewhere
Shared a moment in time...
Simple days.....

I'm not taking you,
From your world...
To place a hold on you
in mine...

A simple Wish
That travelled time.
To once again
visit you....

To change a phrase...
I released and regret...

All the days since I spoke them..
To have the chance to correct
Your present view of me...

I could simply say....
You were way too perfect for my tangled life.
Too Beautiful,
to have broken....

And yet,
With all my Love for you...
I did exactly that...

I twisted what I meant for good,
And crushed innocence,
in its truest
Grace...

Forgive myself,
I never can...
After all
Could you?
