i ask you to write about the waning moon
something sad
one that tells about the misery
of man
and nature
and how they must try to recover
and be one again
how they must each
take each
other as brothers
as resting places

you are obliging
you write more than
what is expected

you write about
ourselves
behind us
is the full moon floating on a very calm pond

and you come about
with a cup of wine
for both
of us to drink and enjoy

you shy away from sadness
and perhaps
i will be liking it
