In A World Of Absolute Darkness Poem by Flavia Richardson

In A World Of Absolute Darkness

The stocks have gone down
And the Muse has left you empty
The road has killed your memories
The downfall into darkness

Lights, flickering damned lights
In a boardroom praying
In a play of lost souls
In a world of absolute darkness

Chairman's hand laying there fainted
Sweat beads rowing on his head
The years of pain and disappointment
In a world of absolute darkness

The stocks are falling on a grey rainbow
Falling off the chart into the abyss
Moving slowly towards death
In a world of absolute darkness

The chairman's chipped face
Staring into the ether
Staring into the eyes of nothingness
As the future is traded for money
