In A Garden Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

In A Garden

I am living in a garden where the sun comes peeping at me,
But with a dolorous pitch to manage my affairs in peace;
And like a warm summer day,
But its tone could reach out to the rich and poor when activated! !

High on Saint Micheal's Mount,
And like Caesar's eagle shield;
But like the fair maids on the purple sea,
Where my love was guided with the muse of peace.

Wipe your tears and come to me,
For this garden is like where pride sits secure;
But at the earliest twilight i will be with you!
Because your tears must stop on these waves where,
The muse of love is guided with peace, care and unity.

From hill to hill,
From tower to tower,
From village to village,
From town to town,
From city to city,
From country to country,
But the wealth of my city's fair must encourage you all;
So sing high the praise of love in this garden,
And to gaze at me with the wings of love.
