In A Dream Poem by Stephen Kekeghe

In A Dream

I poked around dreams:

In a dream,
A poignant pauper poleaxed
A leading rogue
In the podium of deceit

In a dream
A new generation poised
To uplift our nation, neutralising
The plurality of her plutocracy

In a dream
A newsy Nigeria
Recounting the rancour
Of yesterday's storm
And the rapture
Of a messiah moon
In a mellifluous media
Of ethical dignity

I woke up from these dreams
With a bunch of smiles
On my blissful face
And I stare on the new moon…
