When she stared
And dared
About my response
I was not at all tense

She was really puzzled
Not sure and misled
She had some apprehension
Along with confusion

“Come on”
Wait for no one
I am the last one with you
To prove honest and true

Her eyes spoke of uncertainty
It showed her inability
To think in positive terms
It was now my turn

“Rest be assured “
I offered
With clear message
We shall imprint new page
