Impressions Poem by Nicola Thoner

Impressions

Sun on still water

Touches me deeply

Turns the ocean

into a sea of light

Illuminating each moment

Sending waves over light rays

from miles away

Pulling these words from me

Leaving me raw and exposed

as the beauty undresses me.

Each moment

cutting and healing

cutting and healing

Reshaping me.

Seeing a spark ripple across the water

and fade between the clouds.

Still water.

Still burns.
