Impressions Poem by Valerie Dohren

Impressions

Rating: 5.0

Ripples in the water
Teardrops in the snow
Footprints in the golden sand
Paintings by Van Gogh

Rain upon the window
Colours in the sky
Phantoms drifting through the night
Eagles as they fly

Music by Debussy
Hands that mould pink clay
Dreams that float like thistledown
Through the fleeting day

Stars set in the night sky
Asterisks of time
Shadows falling on the hills
Fossils in the slime

Poetry by Rimbaud
Words upon the page
Actors playing out their parts
‘All the world’s a stage’ …..

Mary said it and she is so right.I love your great economy with words. You are in tune with the better things of life. A tremendous flow, perfect in cadence, tops on my list
