Impossible Possibilities Poem by Hazel Durham

Impossible Possibilities

Rating: 5.0

Love is a surprise like a gift not expected,
Feeds on trust, respect, kindness is detected,
Nourishes with the light in our eyes
Like the blaze of the midday sun,
Never turns it's back in days of strife,
Like a clock ticking, reassuring us of the time,
No need to be in your prime,
Sharing thoughts, feelings all with deep meaning,
Avalanche of dreaming.

Love is our eternal quest,
With kisses, laughter, emotional rest,
A place to lay our head,
Pillows filled with rose petals scented,
Sins repented,
Releasing a cascade of clear water,
Filled with soul, that flows,
Graced by spirit,
Laced with a fever of nervous energy.

Mysterious elements of inner yearnings,
Of impossible possibilities,
Enchantment with nature's supreme beauty,
A collision of life force's,
Like an outer body experience,
Hearts entwine,
Passions bind,
Of no greater love than thine.

Quenching our thirst for contentment,
With spice and all things nice,
Love mingles, looks back twice,
Like a catchy jingle,
Our bodies tingle,
Caressing our journey in all it's joy,
Pleasures, treasures at our leisure

Impossible possibilities,
With the wind blowing strongly,
Leaving trees bare without care,
The storm of living and forgiving,
The power of a lovers embrace,
With a life to be intricately traced.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
True love at times seems out of our reach and impossible but if we open our hearts the impossible becomes possible!

the power of love is beyond limit and understanding, it could turn the even the heaven writ, could reveal Homeric rhymes onto arid minds.... love is like a British constitution, can do everything, so less chances for impossible possibilities...... good work hazel, words flowing as river Thames.....

An analysis with a phased style of telling the very facts about the miracle 'love'. It is a time to reduce the difference between the possible and the impossible.

So soft to read; it flows most smoothly and the soft syllables really stand out. The title seems to give the poem an undertone that it is sophistry but that's probably just my huge cynicism towards love coming through!
