Impossible Dream Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Impossible Dream

Forty words:

Oh the euphoria ~ oh the delight

when armistice ended a long ruthless fight,

and peacemakers reigned supreme.

Descriptive wording suddenly changed

from ~bitter grapes~

to ~peaches and cream~.

But a war to end all wars

was sadly an Impossible Dream.
