Impending Seperation
My face soaked in tears
My knees are shaky
My chest is beating
The moments are fleeting
I can't do this alone
I need you with me
Stop acting so strong
I need to see you hurt as well
I need to know the pain is real
Will you be happy
I know I won't
I can't escape the thoughts of you
Will you think of me as much as I do you
Will you wake in the night, heart aching
Will you stay in bed just wondering what I'm doing
I'm still close to you but I've already begun
I want you to be okay but I want you to hurt
I need you to be happy
But if I suffer I need to know you do too
Do you think I'm insane
Do you feel the same
Is this what love feels like,
Pure ecstasy and and absolute misery
I think you did a great job portraying the pain in this poem, and the paradox of wanting to see the one you love happy, but at the same time wanting them to hurt, just so you know they must love you too. Long distance relationships aren't easy, but I hope you keep writing!

Great poem Ryan, it doesn't show its your first poem. Long distance relationships aren't easy but they can work, its up to both of you to make it work. You are going to make mistakes along the way but if you real love each other you will sail through all the hardships, and always remember problems are guidelines not stop signs. Keep writing. Siya_! !
